After careful evaluation of our local community situation, Leanne and Rachael have made the tough decision to close their dental practice until further notice. In doing so, the L&R Dental team are taking steps to be proactive in reducing the impact of COVID-19 on our valued patients and Toowoomba community. Any non-urgent enquiries can be submitted through the contact form on our website. If you have an emergency, please call our clinic during office hours for further advice from one of our experienced team members. Thank you for your support and understanding during this time.

We consider our use of the newest technology to be an investment in our patients. When we can implement the latest methods to diagnose, educate and improve comfort, we meet our goal of giving you the best that modern dentistry offers.
Here are some of the ways we use technology at L&R Dental. We constantly look for new ways to give you great dentistry in a comfortable and relaxing environment.
Diagnosing dental conditions early is part of the preventive dentistry we provide. Digital x-rays provide high-resolution images that appear immediately on our treatment room screens for our dentists to use in diagnosing many oral health conditions.
Cysts and tumours
Tartar between teeth
Because your safety is important to us, we choose digital dental x-rays, which emit up to 80 percent less radiation than old-fashioned x-rays. They also protect our environment by eliminating the chemicals needed to develop film. We take periodic x-rays to monitor your oral health and are happy to discuss their necessity and safety with you.
Educating patients on their conditions and providing the most accurate treatment options possible is essential to the high level of dentistry we provide. One of the most valuable tools we have to explain conditions happening in the mouth is the intraoral camera. By taking images of individual teeth and displaying them in the treatment room, you can see precisely what our Toowoomba dentists are seeing.
We believe that seeing is believing and that patients who have accurate information can make decisions that have a positive impact on their oral health.
Nitrous Oxide Sedation
Anxiety about dental procedures is more common than you might think. We want patients to feel comfortable and have a relaxing appointment while we look after their smiles. Nitrous oxide sedation, or happy gas as it is sometimes called, encourages relaxation without long-term sedation effects.
Nitrous is administered through a small nose mask, and our dentists can control the level of sedation throughout your procedure. When we stop the gas, you will feel completely normal within a few minutes. This makes it possible for you to drive yourself to and from your appointment and head straight back to work.
Nitrous oxide is safe for most patients and can even help restless children relax during their appointments.
